The Bonham calls itself 'the coolest design hotel in Edinburgh' - with justification.
The facilities
The mulberry, black and green colourways against bleached wood and the chic look of the reception area and restaurant in this design hotel justify the reputation.
The rooms
The effect in the 48 rooms of the design hotel is of thick-carpeted comfort, more classic solidity than designer cool. Furniture is individually designed, well made and modern; colours are vibrant but rich - rust, blue or purple carpeting - with crushed velvet fabrics and swagged drapes. Beds are high, large and deep. And though the rooms themselves are not large, the tall Georgian ceilings and windows make them feel airy.
